Rewrite[edit]
In hopes that someone else will continue the rewrite, I'd like to post some advice here:
- Ade Edmondson and his superior Rik Mayall are well known for playing lower-class, "pathetic" caricatures of themselves. Ade in particular is always an alcoholic. In other words, Ade is not Chuck Norris (Bottom in particular is pretty much supposed to be twisted versions of them right down to Richard Mayall and Ade Edmondson)
- Ade and Rik are always seen fighting and beating eachother up - not Ade Edmondson effortlessly beating the crap out of Rik Mayall (Ade characters are mostly too drunk to beat Mayall in a fight anyway, and Ade is not always the dominant one)
- Noting above, remember Rik and Ade characters beat each other up because they are the lowest of the low; the jokes about Ade threatening his headmaster and teachers and sending them to firing squads are ridiculously out of character
- Since User:Mykell wrote the Rik, Ade and Young Ones pages, I've noticed all three pages mention Alexei Sayle (two of them mis-spelled) in an unflattering (to say the least) way. Yes, you (not sure if it is Mykell or any other editor) may think Sayle is an obnoxious show-off tit, but try not to get too carried away
- Brace yourselves; Rik Mayall's sudden, mysterious death under unknown circumstances shortly after Rik and Ade stopped working together will most likely attract yet more Chuck Norris facts about Ade and his apparently murderous intentions
The reason I'm writing this is because previous editors wrote a lot and it would be wrong to remove it and replace it with my work. So, just take this advice for easier editing. ConCass2 (talk) 16:38, June 11, 2014 (UTC)
- That's considerate of you; but at the time of this writing, "previous editors" have gone away, the article was never featured, and it is currently nominated for deletion. Indeed you ought not discard an entire page without taking it to VFD for a vote, but this page is already there! And any page is open to editing even though any edit may "remove" another's work. So you are welcome to edit more aggressively. Spıke Ѧ 17:00 11-Jun-14
