Lord of the Rings may refer to any of the following —

Saturn's rings are indeed quite lordly.
  • The fantasy novel by J.R.R. Tolkien where the good guys are barely four feet tall and everyone wears a magic ring; or
  • The planet Saturn (pictured). Saturn is the record holder, having been the Lord of the Rings for at least a million years now, whereas Sauron only survived three or so eras of Middle Earth. Saturn is a popular favorite and its rings are very visually appealing. Saturn will last more than 10 million years, but its rings won't last forever. Once Saturn's rings are gone, they will congeal into moons. At that point, Saturn might become the Lord of the Moons.

This is a disambiguation page — words should always mean more than one thing, and we're working hard to ensure that each word you look up refers to at least two completely unrelated articles. If an article link referred you here, you should make it to point directly to the article where you think the confused link-maker thought it would point, or go nuts and pick one at random. Just make sure it doesn't point here.
