Career[edit]
Frusciante was hailed as one of the "best dressed guitar gods" by In Touch Weekly magazine, Frusciante is known for being a flipping good ass guitar player, fusing melodic rhythms with his roots as a punk/ funk guitarist. He left the band in 1992 after Blood Sugar Sex Magik was released and gained notoriety, he left under the banner of "I'm just sick of having so much money and hot chicks at my disposal all the time,.. its exhausting". The next 7 years of his life included odd solo albums, random paintings, and near death experiences such as: massive drug use (for which he now has dentures due to infections in his mouth) and fire ( which claimed his home and vintage National Enquirer magazine collection). In 1999 Frusciante, with the help of Flea, mysteriously remembered he was an epic guitar player, and that being in a world famous rock band wasn't as bad as it sounded, he then rejoined the Chili Peppers. John is know to be quite reclusive he leaves his quarters in the hollywood hills to either purchase beat up guitars or the latest copy of US Weekly. John Frusciante is a chronic TV watcher, he often states in interviews that his guitar style is derived from melodic music beds in his favorite shows which include: Oprah, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, 16 and pregnant, Cop Rock, and Private Practice.
