If it isn't totally obvious, the idea here is that the Grue ventured into the kitchen while you were in the cave, so if you don't grab the knife before you leave you're screwed. It could probably be better expressed in the game somewhere. --Algorithm 05:52, 17 Mar 2005 (EST)
