This may be specific to Google Chrome, or Vector users, but the ol' retard Wikia's shameless ad panels for other wikis have moved to the right, meaning that there's a big empty space on the right of my page.

Like this.

Sooo, any solutions? --EpicAwesomeness (talk) 15:32, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

Version of chrome, OS, is there by default, or only off to the side and you get it if you click wrong, or other weirdness? does turning off the vector make it go away, or is it specifically with that?

The "nothing to the right" is not browser specific, as I've checked both Chrome and Firefox, and it only appears when using the experimental vector skin. Even when using AdBlock on Firefox and Chrome, the problem still appears. Curse you advertisements! Your blight is still uncured!--I love toasters Talk - Contributions 15:48, June 15, 2011 (UTC)
It shouldn't be because of ads, at least not yet; that should come later - it looks like something's not obeying an overflow:hidden, but I have browsers open on my windows machine and none of them are having that, so could you please be more specific? If I can't reproduce it, I can't fix it very well.

The computer I'm using right now has Windows XP. Sorry, but I'm not an expert on this sort of thing. In fact, I have no idea what hidden:overflow is. Is it a type of super computer?--I love toasters Talk - Contributions 18:14, June 15, 2011 (UTC)
Does this help?--I love toasters Talk - Contributions 18:14, June 15, 2011 (UTC)
Did you try moving your monitor three inches to the left? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 15:53, June 15, 2011 (UTC)
Well, at first it's like a normal page but then if you use the bar or mouse wheel, it goes to an extra bit on the left as illustrated in the above screengrab. It doesn't look like a browser glitch as in none of this, it just looks like an extra bit of the background has been added on the side. My guess is that Wikia's adverts have treated the sidebar as one object running the length of the page and have moved next to it. You? --EpicAwesomeness (talk) 16:14, June 15, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I see... so I did break it when I put the spotlight container back. Whoops. I'll try to fix that. Never saw it myself because I just have the thing disabled. >.<

Mmkay, it should be fixed now; sorry about that. Try purging your browser cache if you have to (hard refresh or whatever it's called)... and relatedly, you can disable those ads entirely if you want. Just add

#spotlight_container{
	display: none !important;
}

To your User:<insert name here>/uncyclopedia.css page. It's apparently fine to do that on a per-user basis, just not site-wide. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy.png 06:25, 16 June 2011

Thread-jack!!

We should bring ads back so Wikia has an excuse to give us tech support once in a while.  Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize  writings  SU&W) 06:27 Jun 16, 2011

And some nice extentions.
