In order to better deal with the little pests that like moving pages - this option is now unavailable for new users for a few days. Also, rollback users now have the ability to suppress redirects when they revert page movement.
Thank ya`ll (and thank sannse for being an efficient wikia mistress).
Now all of you shut the fuck up and go back writing articles. ~ 22:53, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

18:49, 29 August 2009 (UTC) - I'm completely against giving/taking away anyone's powers, regardless of the reason. After all, it means vandals aren't as capable as they use to be. Which means less work for everyone. Which means less chaos. Which means we're Wikipedia. Do you want to be Wikipedia? MegaPleb • Dexter111344 • Complain here 19:51, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

- I have no idea how that applies here in the least. I'm making a valid argument that we are giving certain users powers which should only be in the hands of admins and limiting others unjustly. That's something Wikipedia or Conservapedia would do. MegaPleb • Dexter111344 • Complain here 00:42, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- We are not limiting anyone unjustly. We are making sure that new users can only move pages after five or so days, thereby limiting the abilities of page move vandals. I don't think that new users needing to wait for a couple of days before needing to use the always popular and needful move button feature hurts anyone. As for the rollback redirect - it saves time and effort, it's not any "power" giving and if I see anyone abuse it, he loses his rollback on the spot. So don't give me that crap about "we're becoming like wikiepedia or conservapedia". ~

- Bots already have redirect suppression, along with (I think) unlimited pagemoves. Redirect suppression really isn't really a new power, and really don't see how it can be abused outside of a rollback turning into a pagemove vandal. It could be misused if a rollback suppresses a re-direct and forgets to fix the links, but that really isn't an abuse of power, more like bad editing. --Mn-z 01:13, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

- Um. I know I have rollback... then why can't I suppress redirects? It doesn't make any sense! 21:23, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe Wikia didn't get around to implementing it yet. Redirect suppression, which my bot has, looks like this, 2nd box:
