So I've heard about this "Hunger Games" thing. It's been really popular at my school; however, I don't see the point in it. Turns out it's just another violence-ridden fiction filled with fighting, only this time it has kids. It's just as pointless as Warriors, only instead of cats, this time it has kids, in an already overused dystopian future. It just isn't doing anything for me. With that in mind, who wants to write a parody article? 16:52, 04/20/2012
- I'd love to write a parody article, but I haven't seen the movie or read the book(s) because my first impression is that it's terrible teenybopper bullpoop (which is why we desperately need an article). --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 17:03 Apr 20 2012
- I let myself read one popular book per year, and I by it based on one of the highest rated books on amazon. I don't read the description nor reviews and just order it so I can read a book I know absolutely NOTHING about. I did enjoy it and I read it mostly in one night. But yeah, its pretty superficial...but there are some moments of good writing. I'm off to see the film which premiers here tonight...and I'd be very happy to work with someone on an article about the book/movie if anyone is interested. --ShabiDOO 18:28, April 20, 2012 (UTC)
- We have an article already. 10:25, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

- SOMEBODY FIX IT RIGHT BLOODY NOW I can give it a shot if I find the time. It's nice having smart, funny articles on very mainstream subjects. Makes me feel Uncyc is, you know, sophisticated. EpicAwesomeness (talk) 16:51, April 25, 2012 (UTC)
- I saw the film last Friday on its debut day, I was more than impressed. It toned down the graphic moments, the cinemetography was impressive and they did a better job at telling the story than the book did. My only complaint is that there was no sex scene between the mutants. Why wasn't there one? --ShabiDOO 17:29, April 25, 2012 (UTC)

speaking of popular fiction
You ever read that "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" book? I thought it was going to be pretty non-badass, but it turned out to have a higher badass to non-badass ratio than I expected. It's Mrthejazz... a case not yet solved. 03:40, April 25, 2012 (UTC)
- @Mrthejazz @ShabiDOO I'm actually not much of a reader myself. Excluding the stuff they force me to read for school, the only thing I actually read (and enjoy reading it, too) is Transmetropolitan. 22:39, 04/25/2012
- I prefer to consume the pages of transmetropolitain and experience the text and images while I digest them in my stomache and bowels. Its a pretty different experience but I do recommend it! --ShabiDOO 23:19, April 25, 2012 (UTC)
- @Shabidoo Speaking of bowels, since I read Transmetropolitan, every time someone pisses me off I threaten to shoot them with a bowel disruptor. 01:02, 04/26/2012
- I still believe that we have a damn article about it. 04:25, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
- @Joe Agreed. Too bad I'm not a good writer. -- NotReallyMyUsernameOnTheRadıo 2012-04-30T00:53
