Forum:Aristocrat's Turkey Day Ball 2008
That's right, you heard right. We're doing it again this year. And by a five-minute majority vote of 2-0, it looks like I'm going to be coordinating it. So, post all discussion of this festive event in the below categories. -RAHB 01:22, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, and as last year, we will be starting on Thanksgiving day, which is the 27th. And the competition will last two weeks, up until December 11th. -RAHB 01:24, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
General discussion
Hey, I know! We should talk about last year's WINNERS so people have something to refer to... --S0.S0S.0S.0S0 04:11, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Requests to be a judge
Just request here, with a category preference if you have one. I'm compiling the judges list and I'll release it to userspace soon.
I'll probably judge one of these categories myself this year, seeing as I've always wanted to judge something. -RAHB 01:22, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
I volunteer to judge. I'm judgmental. Also, you're a terrible disappointment. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 04:50, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
I know I've been denied access last time, but I think I now have a good shot in gettin' in. I can feel it! -

It's not a category I'd be much good at writing for, but more than happy to help judge should you need anyone who has no axe to grind...Then I can split heads with it. Asahatter (annoy) 00:27, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
As founding father of this competition, I will be judging the Aristocrats portion. I will be doing so while drinking beer. Lots of beer. We're talkin' gallons here people. As such, the entries better be awesome, or I will be angered greatly, and reign vengeance down upon you like the Birchmen of Blood Mountain. --THINKER 04:25, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Oh! Oh! I volunteer! I've been wanting to get involved again for ages! Unsolicited conversation Extravagant beauty PEEING 01:52, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Still looking for judges? I'm probably going to be too lazy to actually write something, but can judge if you are still stuck. MrN Fork you! 20:46, Nov 25
Discussions of rules
Unlike the last PLS, I think we should keep the "judges cannot enter" rule this time around, if only due to the huge fuss the removal of it caused during PLS time. -RAHB 01:22, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- Only trouble with that is, I dunno if we'll have enough judges. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 01:29, Nov 16
- Well, we'll wait and see for now then. If we don't have enough after a given amount of time, it may be necessary to tweak the rules a bit. I think we should be OK though. -RAHB 01:31, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- Wait, can you be a judge for one category and enter in the other two? Because I'd do that. If not, we should probably just pick three judges for all the categories. --Mr. Monkey Pant-hoot here. 03:06, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the idea with previous competitions was that judges in any category could not enter any category. Last PLS, the rule changed to just not entering the category that you judge, and being able to enter other categories. I'd like to not have that happen with this competition, and go back to the old way, just because of what a big fuss it caused last time around. I'm sure the whole discussion is on the PLS talk page somewhere where I'm too lazy to link to. -RAHB 03:42, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Again, as originator, I think that rule must remain static. If we have a judging shortage, I'll helm multiple categories. --THINKER 04:29, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- I think we can all calm down, I'll be entering one, a poor one, soley to get attention. An article that is, not a hobo--Sycamore (Talk) 13:11, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Discussions about RAHB's Penis
Not as impressive as I was led to believe, but worth the $4.50. --THINKER 04:27, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- I was charged £4.50 but I'm a novice so I guess I just have to take all these insults. Well, I have years (I hope) to plan my gruesome revenge. -- Style Guide 07:50, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
