Even if your file is fixed, your singing voice is crap Camydoger 20:22, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I think the file is corrupted or something like that. --70.113.72.164 00:50, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Aye. —Braydie 01:06, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Darn, I seem to have bad luck. Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me!

Uhh, here's some good advice:

Don't rename your file extensions.

It's a WAV file indeed. Even though it appears to be really screwed up, it's still a WAV file.

My facts may be a bit wrong though, but you should get the idea of what I mean by screwed up:

52 49 46 46 "RIFF"
0e bc 2a 00 FileLength-8
57 41 56 45 "WAVE"
66 6d 74 20 "fmt "
12 00 00 00 LengthOfFmtHeader - Generally 0x10 for PCM.
01 00 DataType (PCM, your standard)
01 00 Channels
22 56 00 00 Frequency
44 ac 00 00 SamplesPerSecond
02 00 BytesPerSample (?)
10 00 BitsPerChannelPerSample
00 00 No next section in fmt header.
66 61 63 74 "fact" - what the hell is this header for?!
04 00 00 00 LengthOfFactHeader
ee 5d 15 00 Some weird ID, I don't know.
64 61 74 61 "data"
dc bb 2a 00 LengthOfDataHeader
... data follows on.

Normally, it would be:

52 49 46 46 "RIFF"
00 bc 2a 00 FileLength-8
57 41 56 45 "WAVE"
66 6d 74 20 "fmt "
10 00 00 00 LengthOfFmtHeader
01 00 DataType (PCM, your standard)
01 00 Channels
22 56 00 00 Frequency
44 ac 00 00 SamplesPerSecond
02 00 BytesPerSample (?)
10 00 BitsPerChannelPerSample
64 61 74 61 "data"
dc bb 2a 00 LengthOfDataHeader
... data follows on.

I dunno what the extra crap is for, but there you go.

My advice: Google for the "LAME MP3" codec, and THAT will convert your files into MP3s. Yes, MP3s are different to WAVs.

Sorry if I talk crap.

Fixed the MP3. It's actually an MP3 now. Having said that, it'd be much better as, y'know, an actual song. Spang talk 05:01, 18 Jan 2008
