It finally happened -- Wikia nuked the home turf of Oscar Wilde.
Fried potatoes, puffed potatoes, flaming bits of potato raining down all around....
And so has begun the Great Diaspora, as the Wiki To End All Knowledge searches for a new home. So far there are three (or four, depending on how you count them) known clones in various states of functionality, along with some number of unknown clones. (Watch for future issues of the Unsignpost to learn more about the Centers of Uncycliness.) (That is, if the site stays up long enough for there to be any future issues.)
Many of us are still unsure as to exactly what made the roof fall in, but Wikia's objection seemed to have something to do with the fact that we're offensive, undisciplined, disorganized, and not fans of anything anyone could identify, and that doesn't fit with the Wikia Story going forward. Furthermore, after spending all day (and all night) in front of the computer, there's a rumor that some of us don't smell totally amazingly wonderful, and that certainly does not fit with Wikia's self-image, either going forward or backward (or sideways).
There may have been more to the explanation but this reporter had to go get more coffee and correct someone who was wrong on Facebook and by the time he got back the meeting had ended.
