UnNews talk:Giant mutant jellyfish sighted off Tahiti
Upon two cursory readings, I find that there is a too much of UnNews self reference. Exhaustive research has show us that unless it's funny, or is directly connected with the content of the story, an overabundance of self reference is discouraged. This is not to say that you can't get away with doing it cleverly, and in such a way that more than a few people may get the gist of the joke.
I will rewrite as my time permits. Cheers! Rev. Zim (Talk) Get saved! 18:07, March 11, 2010 (UTC)
I find this story to be a dud as well. The flow of the article is choppy, direct references to UnNews staff when the article isn't about UnNews. all add up to a kerflop. There may be hope for it, but I'd completely rewrite it if you want to try. Cheers! Rev. Zim (Talk) Get saved! 21:29, March 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Zim! You convinced me. the problem: 1) trying to write a story around a picture (rather than vise versa, and 2) resorting to HTBSANJF. But, radical picture, eh? Just delete the rest.
- I'll try to be regular with one story every day (like a good reporter). The "Hell Cost" news I was REALLY uncertain about, both from point of humor (too corny?) and taste - being as how we all feel terrible about the Jews in WWII. And it's scary that happened recently - only 65 years ago. Pretty gruesome stuff. Never the less, the Hell Cost news seems to be OK (with the gang). From now on I'll try to parody real current news. But I do have a few more whacked out ideas, such as "FED goes public with IPO" and "Pentagon AWOL!" OR "Alien abducted by earthlings" OR "Trump buys Brooklyn Bridge" - ahem! Yeah! Pretty stupid, I admit!--Funnybony 18:12, Mar 20
