History

Past versions of this template choked on spaces, requiring escaping as +; and ampersands would fail completely.

Spaces and ampersands are handled correctly now. Backward compatibility for the old syntax exists by making + and equivalent. There is no way to search for a literal + now, though this doesn't seem to be problematic.
