NOTE: I take no credit for this article. It is an old gag that is found on many websites. However, the author is, as far as I can tell, unknown. meaning the work is not copyrighted and fits in nicely into UncyclopediA. ---Maniac1075Complain Here 01:06, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Er, that's all cool and all, but the full article is really written by someone else? Because, I mean, I don't think we do that normally. Any site can be a repository for funny things. But Uncyclopedia tends to be for original humor written by the editors. I don't know though, maybe I'm just being a curmudgeon. Somebody else should weigh in on the idea too. -RAHB 01:25, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I agree. I've debated for a few weeks now if I should add this or not; I figure, what harm could it do? It's not copyrighted, and i'm saying im taking no credit for it. It's not something I intend to repeat... but if anyone feels it should be removed, I won't debate the issue.---Maniac1075Complain Here 01:33, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
- I think it should be edited and shaped towards Uncyclopedian humor until such time as it is its own version of the more widely known joke. --Andorin Kato 01:36, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Well the one instance is not harmful in any way, and all is well on that front. I just don't want a precedent to be set. As Andorin says, you (or somebody) should edit it until it becomes a new version of the original joke. It's not that I see it as malicious, or a "bad thing", but it just isn't how Uncyclopedia works really to post funny things that have existed elsewhere first, and it's certainly not in the spirit of Uncyclopedia to post something a non-editor has written. In fact, it's gotten regular contributors banned before, albeit they didn't admit to their not having authored it. I'm not going to make any fancy executive decision on this particular article, if you'd like it here and none of the other admins are going to get rid of it, I don't think it causes any harm staying here. Just something to think about though, just because something doesn't cause harm doesn't mean it causes good. -RAHB 06:15, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
