What Does the Japanese on this Page Mean??[edit]

Since a few people have asked this question, I figured I'd post an answer here for convenience.

As funny as it would be if the Japanese on this page was actually secretly making fun of the reader or some such thing, I don't actually know any Japanese. Instead, the Japanese is complete gibberish, selected at random from the anime article in the Japanese Wikipedia. Except for アニメ and おたく in the See Also section. I think these actually mean anime and otaku in Japanese. I went to the anime and otaku entries in the Japanese Wikipedia and copy and pasted the bolded characters into this entry. I could be wrong, and these characters could just be gibberish too.

If someone who is actually familiar without Japanese wants to rewrite the Japanese parts of the article, I have no problems. Except for the section headings, don't change those because part of the joke is that they get longer and longer for small words/phrases.-- neoEva88 MUN F@H PS CM NS (talk.to-do)

I'm learning Japanese in school, and I can confirm that アニメ and おたく are in fact anime and otaku. Beyond that I could only read a few independent words in the article--I know maybe two dozen kanji. (Although I could tell that a lot of the links were bogus. That was funny.) User:Wehpudicabok/sig 22:01, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
If you wanna try and write some funny/ridiculous Japanese stuff in place of the random characters I copy & pasted feel free to do so. -- neoEva88 MUN F@H PS CM NS (talk.to-do)
You may (or may not) be glad to know that I've rewritten the Japanese in this article to better reflect its content. I've only changed one section heading but it has the same character count (so it's equally as long). Be warned that it's probably unreadable even to people fluent in Japanese despite my best efforts to translate from what I originally intended to say.
The Japanese now reads (should read):
This page has been poorly translated from the English subtitles so they have something to subtitle to.
(Quote remains the same)
Subtitled anime is a method of translating anime by close captioning rather than dubbing over spoken Japanese.
Since the early days of Emperor 後柏原天皇, it has been known that anime in Japanese gives a superior experience for viewers.
Though Japanese is the best, dispicable western distributors such as ADV dub anime with awful translations and annoying Texan
voices.
Texans have the highest obesity problem in the world, and also the biggest Lolicon population.
She sells seashells by the seashore.
Obesity and Lolicon are therefore correlated.
(Next runs a long piece of text taken from the teaser poster of the first Evangelion Rebuild movie, substituting the title
name with "Doraemon")
Of course the point was that as the article goes on, the Japanese goes into tangents. Feel free to edit it some more if someone comes up with something better than the mess I made. -The Dit 13:36, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
