Snake's Freak Ageing?[edit]

An addition should be made to the article about how Solid Snake's age shifts dramatically throughout the series - from Metal Gear, set in 1995, where he is depicted as a small, weedy man, to Metal Gear 2 (in 1999, where he's an old Mel Gibson lookalike), to MGS (in 2005, where he's younger than MG2, yet retired and actually has a voice) to MGS2 (between 2007 & 2009, where he doesn't age at all) to MGS4 (only 5 years later, where he's suddenly become an old man, who wears turtlenecks and could do with a walking stick). --213.120.117.58 15:25, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Inaccurate Titling[edit]

This a great article, though perhaps it would be better suited as a How-To (Kill Solid Snake)? --Luigifan14 04:24, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

It could have been, but we needed an article on Solid Snake, and so this is what I wrote after there were about nine failed, totally unfunny attempts that were deleted... Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 05:40, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Wow....this page was a lot funnier a couple years ago.

What bullshit is this?

Good article, could use improvement[edit]

As a long-time MGS fan I thought this article was pretty damn good in terms of humorous content. Unfortunately the execution was a bit lacking. First of all the, repeatedly directing the article towards the reader with the word "you" just looks sloppy and doesn't feel like a parody of an encyclopedia article. Second, a lot of punchlines are too repetitive to be funny. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

"At this point, if you were pursuing him, you won't see him; all you'll see is a cardboard box inexplicably sitting in the middle of a jungle. Don't be fooled! It may look like an empty cardboard box inexplicably sitting in the middle of a jungle, but it's actually a cardboard box with Solid Snake in it sitting in the middle of a jungle."

Really? Inexplicably sitting in a jungle? I suppose the reader may have not realized this the first two times around, but we don't all have the memory of a goldfish here. I'd like to see these "Snake facts" reorganized to fit a cohesive flow with some gradual character development. Maybe looking at the structure of te Wikipedia article on Snake would be a good place to start. Vryheid 08:53, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

Heya Vryheid - I'm the guy who did most of the rewrite of this article. I haven't really touched it for about a year, now. If you want to do some rewording - by all means, have at it. That'd be one better than most readers, whose typical response to the article is to insert the word "penis" somewhere in it. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 20:15, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
