How to fix?[edit]
I honestly didn't mean any offense, Modusoperandi, by sticking on that template. It's just that I'm guessing this article would be a lot funnier as a standup routine, complete with proper vocal intonation and hand gestures, which is unfortunately not the sort of thing available on Uncyclopedia. I can't really think of a fix, however, so I'm gonna have to ask people elsewhere: what should this article's overal theme/tone be? —Lenoxus 16:59, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe it's just that I'm stuck in the middle of a nasty cold, but I have no idea what you're talking aboot - nor does the history of Pointless inventions show anything added that is even vaguely templatish (is that a word? It must be). Modusoperandi 20:53, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- Wow, I'm sorry to hear you were/are ill — I hope you're well by now. The template I thought I'd put up was the "joke explanation" one ("attempts to explain joke"), but you're right — it never appeared for some reason, proabably because I kept re-cutting and re-pasting different versions of it and it got lost in the chaos. This article doesn't quite fit the template's description but it comes close, because there is complete transparency between the reader and you. You're telling us how you feel about these inventions, not actually telling a joke. Seriously, parts of it are funny, and if I can think of any sort of cleanup for anything, I'll run it past you. I apologize if I confused you or made you worry about hallucinations. Keep rocking --Lenoxus 02:54, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm good now - I met my goal recently to stop sweating. I never actually had an overall plan for this page. Much like freedom of speech I just found something that annoyed me and made a page about it (I heard about how "automatic faucets" only work for black people when they show their palms to the "sensor"; so they can't use it to wash the back of their hands).
- If you think you can improve this page, I say go for it...people who improve Uncyclopedia make me happy...people who add crap about Oprah or Chuck Norris make me sad (kind of like the" sunshine on shoulder" versus "in eye conundrum"). Modusoperandi 03:10, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
