Shield technology

I've been thinking of adding a paragraph about ship's shields, but I don't seem to be able to make a list that's large enough.

Here's what I've been thinking:
Name: Class I shield (greek)
Technology: greek mythology
Description: Every crew member gets dressed as a greek phalanx soldier, getting a shield. Completely ineffective but looks cool.

Name: Class II 1/2 shield (magnetic)
Technology: advanced magnetism
Description: Magnetic shield capable of deflecting compass needles. Interferes with ship's navigation systems, reducing missile defense by 30%

Name: Class IV Shield (sonic)
Technology: bittorrent tracker
Description: Sound deflector created by using pirated MP3 files and huge loudspeakers. Completely ineffective since sound cannot travel through vacuum.

Name: (Some spoof name for the damper field)
Technology: Computer AI
Description: An antaran shield capable of reducing the damage inflicted by 99%, blocking transporters, making the ship invisible, washing and cooking. Unlike advanced armour types, it can be researched by the player by reaching Computer AI technology. Since the computer players are already computer AIs, they get this technology from the beginning.

One or two ineffective shields and a name for the damper field should be enough to put the list in the article. Feel free to add any shield types that come to your mind here.

A bit of criticism from an outsider

Sorry for my negative comment, but dont you think, whoever wrote this, that mantioning sex, or something zthats in connection with sexuality in every second word of the article, is a bit boring, and sounds like, the article has been wroten by a ten yeers old, who thinks manetioning sex all the time, is the funniest thing in this motherfucking world?!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.255.112.24 (talk • contribs)
