Hello. I offer some information, mentioned to others over the years but not online. In 1972/3, I was working for a firm in the flavours industry, in Albert Road North in Reigate. One of the products was lemon essence, or whatever exactly it was that involved using the peel only. The actual inner fruit was given away to employees to make lemonade, etc.. One evening, I was walking down the road mentioned with a large polythene bag of peeled lemons and also a jar of curry powder labelled 'FH'. Someone called out to me, asking what I had there, and I replied 'lemon curry tonight'; not, of course, being serious. I was a Monty Python fan, and some time in the next week or two, if memory serves, people including Richard Baker started interjecting: 'lemon curry?'. This seemed a bit of a coincidence, and then it occurred to me that Michael Palin was resident in northern Reigate. It is possible that someone repeated 'lemon curry' somewhere, a pub perhaps, for its unusualness, and he overheard it. In any event, I'm not sure what he would have been doing in that particular road, though it is possible that he visited The Admiral at the junction with Nutley Lane. Interesting, mate. Though I kind of agree with the probable veracity of the responses above. 1972/3 was the process of the third series of Python. I think I remember the lemon curry phrase being used in the first and second series, but if I'm wrong, maybe I will trust the legitimacy of your claims. Especially considering you're probably in your 50s now and even my dad still makes sense of things at his not-too-dissimilar age. Lemon curry? --nldr - MrN9000 is not "looking for idiots", IC was perfectly fine and there's nothing wrong with how whatever you want to do here. THEY WERE CRAMMED WITH POOR VOCAB CHOICES, THAT'S ITTTT 03:34, February 14, 2010 (UTC)
