I just added the 'crumbling cliff-face' part and then the next morning I pick up the paper and see that the whole of Pennan has been buried in mud after a giant mudslide from cliff collapse. How bad do I feel?!

i used to live in the REAL Ferness on the A96 ( Moray / Nairnshire ) and there IS a red phone box. whoever wrote the main article has no idea. OK, there's no beach, but then.. the beach was near Fort William, and the fake Ferness is off the Aberdeen road. If anyone knows where Bill Forsyth drinks please ask him what the story is behind the use of the name Ferness.
