Forum:Proposal to give five votes to users for community wide voting
At some point along the rocky road leading to somewhere we forgot or maybe it was a u-turn comming back for some reason...we failed to remember to give those extra votes to users. We did give those extra votes to our beloved and hard working admins (well....those seven active ones for which we are extra grateful) and they never fail to use those two extra votes. Now...they should be allowed to keep those two votes...good on them for unilaterally giving themselves more say. Who would say no to something like that? But...oops...we forgot to give those four extra votes to users...you know...the core, the heart, the liver, the pinky toes of uncyclopedia.
So anyhoo, I think it's about time we started using those four extra votes. So don't forget...every time there is a community wide vote...cast your five votes how you like. Infact...theres no need to even vote on this...just give 5 votes each time you vote for something. You could...for instance...vote 3 for and 2 against...or 5 votes for...or throw away your votes by abstaining...this is a democracy and you are free to vote how you like :) And don't forget...Jesus loves you and was tortured and cruxified so that you could have five votes. Don't throw more dirt in Jesus' face by not using them!!! --ShabiDOO 21:51, November 2, 2011 (UTC)
- How about just voting in fractions? Each of those 5 votes now represents 1/5 of a single megavote. Or, we could simply vote in percentages and that 3/2 split could be a 20% vote for or against something.--
- Now someone is thinking clearly!!! --ShabiDOO 22:02, November 2, 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, but only if the IP Horde is reduced from the current half-vote per address to a single 1/5 vote. --BLU Scoutgineer 22:08, November 2, 2011 (UTC)
