"LINCOLN, Neb. -- A kitten is recovering after allegedly being stuffed in a bong while its owner smoked marijuana at the same time."

Behold Car-henge!

Hmmm. Spang talk 08:16, 03 Mar 2009

How boring is Nebraska? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 09:29, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
As boring as most places. -Sockpuppet of an unregistered user 16:44, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Check out the tourist attractions Nebraska has to offer. I'll never forget driving past the road archway monument whilst moving from CA to CT and wondering why anybody would stop and investigate this giant piece of shit hanging across the roadway.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  16:53, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
How about the world's largest ball of stamps or a Plymouth Rock style monument with the Kool-Aid man's footprints in cement?--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  16:55, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Anglo-American ambassador to America, Bill Bryson, has rightfully informed me that America has some pretty "crummy" attractions like on the list in that link. --Nachlader 17:05, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Look at me! I'm interstate dork!
fucking signature. fucking laptop. fucking vista. fucking bike. fucking school. fucking EVERYTINGGGFH --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 17:10, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Hah! I was wondering. But that guy on TV says Vista is better than my Mac OSX! Another typical stupid American tourist attraction would be the "four corners" monument which celebrates state boundary lines. Search images on google with four corners and see how many pics of people playing Twister on the monument you can find!--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  17:15, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
How come the four corners don't have any electric-barbed wire fences separating the state boundaries like how I imagine it? --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 17:19, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
OK, I'm chuckling now.....I'll be back to make fun of America after I go fetch the Mrs from work. Have fun!--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  17:21, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Maybe there should be an article devoted to the stupidest American roadside attractions - done with faux reverence. Is there anything like that already here?--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  18:48, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

It should be an UnBooks Guide to America. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 18:53, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
But that wouldn't be exclusive to roadside attractions sounding......but you are correct, something like that. It'll write itself but it's going to be a research whore. Just my bag.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  19:01, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
UnBooks:Guide to the American Roadside Attraction?--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  19:04, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
King. The other suggestion wasn't specific enough. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 19:43, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Preliminary research shows so much material that it's going to be difficult to whittle down the best ones. Look at this.......and I've only made it through the states who's names begin with "A" so far. This one might not make the cut but it's worth a mention somehow. Apparently Alabama has Hitler's typewriter too.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  20:13, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
I obviously don't live in America, so you can tell who'd have to form the structure for this intended UnBook (you). I think I have a few ideas on how it could be produced, thanks to reading Bill Bryson's childhood experience of going to roadside attractions, and I could help point out what could be the best attractions to mention, etc. If you want to see this thing go down, create it on your userpage and we'll collaborate on the discussion page perhaps. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 20:39, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Also, New York or Alabama? --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 20:44, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm trolling through the guide and making a basic list on the practice page. Same space as the virtual rewrite. I always have a clipboard section at the bottom for talk. Some items of constant repetition might get strung together for better effect. There's a lot of world's largest________ out there.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  20:58, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, don't link me to the practice page, then. You can't expect me to remember things! --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 21:05, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Ooops, I thought I left the linky on your talk page or....nevermind....here.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  21:16, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Definitely mucho cool with me, I could use some advice on what items of the savage American culture most interests the Brits.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  21:38, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Best song, or THE best song? --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 22:17, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
No. You're thinking of their Jingle Bell Rock cover. Maybe Maneater. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 22:18, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Hell, I like all their songs. Possession Obsession, Method of Modern Love, Adult Education, Private Eyes, So Close are deliciously tasty shreds of 80's goodness. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 22:22, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
