Welcome to the Mother Ship of amateur comedy writing! (Amateur means we don't pay you to do it.)
This is where the original Uncyclopedia wound up. You might as well pick a user name. We have no "partners" that want to sell you stuff. Uncyclopedians get a talk page, private edit area, and a welcome, maybe, if you actually edit; and we won't de-platform you for your views, if they're funny.
Forum:Grey boxes
hello, I am a new user here, I just wrote my first
page on "the red stripe guy", but I am stupid with computers beyond belief, I noticed after I posted the page that each segment was one long line, and being a dumbass with computers and all I thought it
would be a good idea to go through, and simply punch enter at a certian point in each line. the page is not stretched anymore, but it is split up to peices, and has these grey boxes around fragments of my paragraphs, I don't know what to do or how to fix
this, any advice? the same thing happened with this post see what I mean? how to fix it? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mitch connor (talk • contribs)
- With the Mediawiki software, leaving a space before the start of a line of turns it into fixed text, ie. the grey box thingy. It's for coding and stuff. I took a look through The Red Stripe Guy and tried to fix it for you. Hope it's closer to what you wanted :) By the way, it's looking quite good so far, some funny bits in there. Keep up the good work! -- Hindleyite Converse 11:51, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
