Forum:A little heads up about a vandal
There's a kid who goes to my school who's a real asshole. For some reason, he'll always take out a vendetta against anything he doesn't like, even remotely. He hates Uncyc and won't say why. I got word that he's been replacing a lot of articles with miscellaneous poetry. Why? He's weird and stupid like that. On top of that, he uses AOL, which means an IP ban can't stop this little bastard. What should we do about this jackass?
Oh, and if he tries vandalising from school computers, am I going to wind up banned too for having recently used a blocked IP? Or blocked from ever editing from school computers? --Nintendorulez | talk 19:55, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- This, my friend, is where you show your true mettle. It's one thing to fight vandals and spammers from the cushy recesses of your computer chair, but for those who go forth into the world and do battle with the enemies of Uncyclopedic idiom, we all reserve a special place in our wiki-hearts. Anyhow, break the guy's fingers, and I'll photoshop up a special medal for you. Very shiny-like. (Legal Disclaimer: don't do anything illegal) --Spin 05:21, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- Good thing the guy's very easy to annoy. --Nintendorulez | talk 12:36, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- Kill 'em, dude. If he's dead, then you can vandalize his grave with miscellaneous poetry.
Unless he's emo. He'd probably like that then. Dzugavili 05:22, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds like an Emo kid, if they want to vandalise perfectly good misinformation with poetry.Yuri von Juan 14:23, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- No, he's not emo. Just stupid. Anyway, I know MediaWiki will block users who have recently used a just-banned IP address, so will I be banned too? I'm at school, and fortunately he forgot the URL to uncyc. But he's googling, and if the school's IP gets banned I'll be pissed. --Nintendorulez | talk 16:48, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, he's left and I reverted all his edits. Also, I think we ought to ban the entire range of AOL IPs. It's not as if any AOLers have anything decent to contribute. --Nintendorulez | talk 17:00, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ahem. I'd choose MadMax's edits above yours any day. In fact, even before he made a user login (which we had to beg him too, so we could tell him apart from the other AOL users). --Splaka 03:18, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, at least don't allow AOLers who don't log in. Since they're able to vandalize without being stopped. --Nintendorulez | talk 12:41, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

- "And I tick, and I tock, and I can't quit with the body rock." Um... I have nothing worthwhile to add to this conversation. --Mindsunwound: (MUN) Crotch Drops Dog Fart Trombone 20:18, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
