I would just like to voice my concern over the inclusion of this(http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Image:Explosions.jpg) picture in the "Explosions" Article,i agree that some complaints here are "narrow" ("Niggers offends blacks, Emo affects emos, Beaner offends Mexicans, Gay offends gays, etc. etc. etc...") but those are just words the picture shows real people realy dying, its inclusion on this site is a bit "disturbing" to me.(IMHO) But alas i am an underage male,so my opinion matters not. unsigned by 69.40.26.122 (TalkContribs (del)EditcountBlock (rem-lst-all)LogsGroups)

Your comment would be better placed on the talkpage for explosion, where explosion experts could engage you in a dialogue of why they think a picture of an explosion is appropriate (though somewhat grissly) for a page about explosions that has pictures of explosions. Plus text. Text that I assume has something to do with explosions. Or you could read again what I just wrote, but squint this time.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 01:38, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

But the text,it is black, that offends me... I understand that the article "Explosions" has a picture of an explosion in it, but a better pic could be used...

We aren't a repository for good taste. Besides, this is a "wiki that anyone can edit"...which means that if you can make something better (or less bad), you can.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 01:46, 28 October 2006 (UTC)\

At the time i an unable to edit this article with anything better("@%^$@ messed up Windows security settings, &!%@ Mcaffe, and everything else pre-loaded onto this dell p-o-c "), so with the creation of this pagei was requesting someone who is able, to edit it. - 69.40.26.122

You seem to be forgetting that Uncyclopedia is a comedy wiki. If you happen to be a person who can't take a joke, then leave. --Uncyclon - Do we still link to BENSON? 02:04, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
...and saying "That isn't funny. You fix it." to us isn't going to get you anywhere, excuses or no.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 02:35, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Well then may the good lord take a likin' to ya and blow ya up real soon now! I am quoting John Candy from SCTV and some farmer show he did on it. Bastion 02:48, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
"Farm Film Report". Obviously.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 03:45, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
If you can't edit that article, how are you able to edit this page? --User:Nintendorulez 20:05, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Wow, just as there are people who take opportunities to take knee-jerk offense at the first distasteful thing that crosses their path, so are there ones who seize every opportunity to knee-jerk bash anyone who takes offense at anything. Saying an image's "inclusion on this site is a bit 'disturbing' to me.(IMHO)" is a far cry from Slashy's invective. There's no reason to treat 69.40.26.122 rudely as long as he also remains civil. —rc (t) 06:53, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that I was being rude. I was just trying to point out that a) it's a wiki everyone can edit and b) not finding something funny and then telling someone else that they should make it funny is kind of dumb. No?--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 13:05, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
While I do think you carelessly put words in 69.40's mouth, the main rudeness was from OsirisX/Uncyclon. I've seen the "if you don't find this funny, then leave" response so many times, and often it's appropriate - but not in this case, I think. —rc (t) 21:53, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
I apologise if I did seem rather offensive but I still think my comment was appropriate. If you can't take a joke around here then edit it yourself or move on. --Uncyclon - Do we still link to BENSON? 00:10, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

I was also posting this here to be a little polite so that the articles writers,or anyone with more experiance could substitue something more suitable, but since i have been put in the whining catagory i will leave,i have been a fan of this site since its creation,i was just trying to point out that this is a bit of bad taste, not trying to be a jerk.

I thought the image was pretty damn funny, even without any caption or anything. In fact, I'd like to see how many different ways I can find to work it into articles... --User:Nintendorulez 20:05, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but mine happens to disagree with yours.-69.40.26.122

I think people here are a bit high-strung right now because of the massive Asperger Syndrome debate. Stick around...you probably won't get your way on this matter, but IMO you're hardly in the "whining category." —rc (t) 21:53, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
I must say, you're one of the few people who realizes that when registering a complaint. It's nice to see we have people with common sense on the VD for once. But nonetheless, it is by the exact same principle that we don't pull content simply due to offensiveness. If you want, feel free to tag the image with {{Offensive}}. --User:Nintendorulez 22:33, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks.and i was not stating that it should be imedianly removed, but that its place in that article be "thought" about, once i get to my home pc i might change it to one of my numorous Bikini Island (Nuclear test site) pics.-69.40.26.122

To 69.40.26.122: As long as you leave a message on the talk page stating why you think it should be removed, you can go ahead and do it without getting in any kind of trouble. I suspect that other people will want to restore the image, so if you can think of a joke that replaces or enhances the current one, then your edit will stand a higher chance of being kept. Generally it would help you to register a nickname, since nicks are easier to rembember than IPs, which we will sometimes mistake for a different (malicious) user. Basically it will just give you more cred if someone wants to dispute your edit. Sorry about the responses you've gotten. In another forum there is an anonymous IP demanding that certain content be taken down because it offends him. Because nerves are on edge I think people neglected to see that your request was quite respectful and expresses a legitimate opinion. Personally, I think the image is fine, but there's nothing that says it has to be there. Think of something funny to put in its place, and you can probably get it removed permanently. ---Quill.gifRev. Isra (talk) 23:47, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
