Purpose

What is this category supposed to be about? I was thinking it was for random selection functions, but it also has joke/stupid templates. --Mnbvcxz 22:51, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Technical note

This should be documented somewhere for the MediaWiki hackers: random templates use mw:Extension:RandomSelection. A list of all our extensions and their versions can be found at Special:Version. We also have mw:Extension:RandomImage installed, though it doesn't seem to be used where it could e.g. Template:Offensive/random/image. Dark Web, White Hat (talk) 09:08, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
