Summary: 1885 caricature of a wedding proposal -- she's wearing the latest bustled fashions, and he seems to be so desperate that he's down on two knees (not just one).
They seem to have been out walking (perhaps to gain some privacy), as seen from his sturdy waistcoat, dark gloves, and cane, and her parasol, jacket, and vaguely pseudo-Tyrolean hat.
Signature is "H. Schlittzen".
