  • Comment. I'm aware that you guys value this article and that you've put passion into it...but I don't think it's ready. I think you ought to be willing to make some heavy cuts and to consider an over all concept before working away on such a large article and such a major subject matter. This article seems like a wikipedia article where each section or paragraph consists of accurate facts...however there is a sort of connected and slightly humerous extra fact tagged at the end of each section as a sort of punchline. I don't really see where the parody is this and over all I can't figure out what the concept of this article is. In addition there seem to be several random paragraphs that don't connect much with the rest of the article. I also think there are a few formatting issues. Quite a few paragraphs are really wordy and I think some tightening would help the humour (the Guillotine paragraph for example). A couple of the images are humerous but I'm not sure they've been strategically placed with the best of captions. As I said the article is also rather long and could use some heavy heavy chopping IMO. The final section Napoleons legacy, is pretty funny and more or less well written in my humble opinion. If that passion of yours went into making some tough decisions and shaping the whole article within a clear idea and humour strategy...you'd end up with a stellar article. • Shabidoo, does this help? (just to know if it is still possible for us to get your vote) Anton (talk) 08:50, October 15, 2013 (UTC)
I have to agree with Shabidoo myself here and was worried about it before nomming. However I thought I could pass it off well. I was wrong and now regret that attitude. I will take another look at it with Anton and joke it up a bit. As for length I don't see why it ought to be shorter as long as it is funny. I always enjoy longer articles myself because the humour builds and builds and never seems to end. Scott, never regret your actions. If the article should be better, we can make it better. The question is: did my last edit do anything? Anton (talk) 09:28, October 16, 2013 (UTC)
Yes it did. We have significantly improved the article now.Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign.gif Scotland Flag 1.png Compassrose.gif VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 09:01, October 20, 2013 (UTC)
  • I'll vote for this when Romartus votes for it, as he is the expert of era-based satire round these parts. If it could be a masterpiece with a little more work, then by all means, polish polish polish. Several people here have polished their articles for years, I'm guilty of that sometimes (and will minor polish Warm piss water when I log off your page. Aye, me bucko. Aleister 20-10

  • Comment. Think it's ready. Anton (talk) 12:47, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
good, and please don't get me wrong. This is one of those masterpiece pages that should be featured when it's totally awesome. You'll thank us later. Aleister minutes later
  • Comment. I think this was a case of premature nomination. Check with your doctor if symptoms persist. Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 18:55, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
