Ok, so i made my template and all but how do you make a template name? For example - when you want to enter a template in an article you would put the two brackets with the name inside. Except I can't do that. I mean, I could just use the Templatetitle thing, but thats not really what i want. Help anyone? Thanks --Hell0ihateyou 01:41, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Are you asking how to insert a template into a page? You use the template name surrounded by double curly brackets, e.g. {{Templatetitle}}. Sorry if that's not what you're asking. —rc (t) 01:44, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well i was kind of asking how to create my own template name, whereas if you wanted the conspiracy template, you would put {{Conspiracy}}. I have a Tom Hanks related template ready to go, and I would like to be able to insert it into a page with {{TomHanks}}, yet all i can do is insert {{Templatetitle}}. I appreciate your help.

- You mean like this? You know people hate templates, right? Well, not all people. Just the ones with taste. Templates are a sign that you care just enough to not put a lot of though into it. Adding good material to a page is better, but harder. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 02:52, 19 May 2007 (UTC) Template:Falwell
- I don't see why that shouldn't work...
This page confuses Tom Hanks. He suggests you dumb it down a bit so average joes like him can understand that silly jargon. You're using too many big words and formulas and crap. He may have starred in the DaVinci Code, but he didn't read the book. Seriously, quit it. You're not that smart. Oh come on, he's the voice of Woody. Can't you do it for Woody?
Yes, we all know Buzz Lightyear is cooler. But Woody deserves some affection, too. Personally, I don't care, I'm just waiting for Buzz and Woody to have some space cowboy love child with a third testicle. Yes, I do think about these things, often. |
This page is hurting Pat Robertson. It is continually kicking him in the balls and it won't stop. Take it down now or face the wrath of God. And Jerry Falwell. Wait, he's dead. But does that make him more powerful? If you don't take it down right now Jerry Falwell will come to you in spirit form and smite you. No, wait, Power Ranger form. But the suit might not fit him....just take it down. |
- Yep, it works. In other words, I have no bloody clue what you can't work out. Sir Cs1987 UOTM. t. c 13:28, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- In other news, I had hardly any clue who half these people were before slogging over to Wikipedia (except dear old Tom). Which kind of suggests they're not very suitable templates for non-US-centric pages. Also, they're "approves" and "disapproves" templates, which automatically makes them very similar to nine million other things on here. Expect merciless pruning real soon... --Whhhy?Whut?How? *Back from the dead* 14:39, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
